    Computer Build.. Budget $600-850

    Title says most of it.
Donating my old computer to dad for his office work...
Sadly I'm to lazy to keep on the up and up with the new cards and such.
Let me know what you think you'd build for $600-850

Gaming PC btw... Or atleast in that category.

Comes with Dirt3 and Battlefield 3.
You can also unlock the 6950 and flash it for better performance as well.
You can settle for cheaper motherboard and power supply, but that's your call.

Not bad!! I got bored waiting for someone to reply so I was searching and I came up with something very similar to your list.
So you would go with raedeon over geforce?

AMD Radeon generally has shitty drivers but 6950 is a great card with good potential.
Any AMD cards work better with an AMD system.

I was thinking along the lines of going with Intel because of my music production... So would Nvidia be better?

How does Intel relate to music production? If you're looking for a gaming build, what Stevenom chose is pretty close to what I would suggest for a PC where the focus is solely on gaming potential, but if you're more into general stuff and want better all-round performance with a reduction in gpu power, I would recommend an Intel build. Also lose the DVD drive, get a Core 3000 from Fractal Designs instead of that weird case and see if you can fit one of those older, cheaper great all-round SSDs in there - personally I would recommend the Crucial m4.

Idk how it relates... But music is just a small hobby.. I looked at the case you mentioned. Looks well built and well enough room too. Never heard of that company thanks for the insight!

If you don't care about a flashy case then Fractal Design is a way to go.

Just by the looks are they good with cooling? Looks well vented.

Fractal Design creates minimalistic, good cases. Don't expect flashy LEDs and bright-coloured meshes, decorated windows etc. Expect decent performance at a low price.

It has a ton of expansion bays!!! Dang! lol! From the list you mentioned above... What would you improve if I added another $150 to the budget? @Stevenom

I would hop over to Intel, you could easily enter the Z77 market with an additional 150 bucks.

Well if you shell out some more money it'd last you at least 2 years.
