"Christian Bible, the Gospel of Mark, chapter five, verse nine. We acknowledge this as an appropriate metaphor. We are Legion, a terminal of the Geth. We will integrate into Normandy."

Calm your tits bro. I got into a good university, although I never did as bad as you in any of my years, what they'd rather like to see is progress from bad to good. If you constantly made progress throughout your four years it'll look like you took charge of your education, especially if you filled your junior and senior years with harder classes. What you want to focus on the most are your SAT scores and your personal statements you submit to your classes. If you also fill your application with extracurricular activities with a decent course load then it looks even better. I was able to say I tutored at my old middle school, and I got to go to state in DECA my first and only year trying (senior year).

I'm pretty sure this applies to all of Canada but in Queerbec they look at 10th Grade the most since we don't have a 12th grade and grade 11 (Sec 5) is our last year. And by the time November-December of your grade 11 year comes around they've usually made a choice based on your grade 10 grades and term 1 from grade 11. This is a conditional acceptance if you do get accepted, it can be denied by the end of grade 11, but if you didn't get accepted by this point you're kind of fucked. :S
Overall grade 10 is the most important because you learn the most in that year and they look at it to start your conditional acceptance, but 11 is almost as important since if you do bad there they can still deny you.
So no, doing "bad" in grade 9 isn't the worst thing. Just do better from now on.
In Canada, most universities will look at both your Grade 11 marks and your Grade 12 marks. Some universities though, only look at your Grade 12 marks. They vary.
