Sorry, we don't help in Exams .. lol jk,, GL in your Exam.
Well yea, so I have an English exam tomorrow, just looking for any suggestions or tips. I feel that I am ready for it.
First part of the exam is just going to be sight passage which is basically where we read a short story, and answer questions. The second part will be an essay. The essay will most likely include Lord of The Flies (Novel), Macbeth (Play - Shakespeare) and an ISU (independent study unit) novel that we read.
Please put any tips or suggestions that you have here.
Thanks

fl cheat like hell
IGCSE's or O-Level much? Sounds pretty similar to my English Literature test I took some time ago.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.
Dont guess atleast make a educated guess, but take a deep breath before you take relax and dont seem so tense when you go to take it.
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
- Albert Einstein
Just relax, take a bottle of water with you, breathe calmly, read the questions thoroughly, think before you answer, then answer.
Revise future tenses, those give me a headache.
If you have a listening task, listen carefully! I've had bad experiences with listening tasks.
just study up and wish for the best.
i swear, everytime it comes to exams, i just wing it, and the lowest i get is 84%
Yeah get out from MPGH and go study
Not sure if you'll recognize this, but are you taking ENG3U English or ENG3C English?
Anyways, English Exams for me tend to be very easy. It isn't like Math/Functions where you need to know certain formulas and how to do certain math problems. It isn't like Science where you need to memorize 70 different elements and know the concepts of space.
As long as you read the story and understand it, and know what kind of questions you'll be expecting in the story, then it's a no problem. Usually you'd get a book where there are multiple characters that can be the main character, but then you have to choose one of them and explain why. In my case it's usually how it is. Then you'd get different questions and so on.
For the second part, they aren't going to expect a perfect essay, since you only have such limited time to write an exam. Just know the structure of an essay (thesis and opening, 3 paragraphs, conclusion). If during class you didn't pay attention or have read the book, then you'll expect trouble while doing your essay, obviously, but if you know it well, then don't expect any problems or stress. Just zip through the exam.
