Attention Z8Gamers,

Today we are happy to announce that we are working on a system of limitation for clans who are playing an excessive number of Clan Wars for the sole purpose of farming match points versus 'cow' or 'alternate' clans!

Before the end of the week we will be introducing a limit to the number of match points 1 clan can achieve versus another clan.

This limit will be set at 10 initially however we will be closely monitoring this to see what affect it has and whether we need to make adjustments.


What does this mean?

It means that you can still earn an unlimited number of Clan Match points per day by challenging your fellow clans to duke it out on the Clan Server, BUT you will now only be able to gain actual points from matches versus one other specific clan up to the first 10 times.


In addition to this we will be looking at clans in the top ranks and their history over the last period of time (1 month) and looking to see if we can remove and/or restore some points. Please note that this does not mean we will be taking this action. Simply that we are in the process of review.


If we see that clans are still finding ways around this new feature we will continue to impose further rules and limitations. Our goal is to create an alternate form of ranking clans which is more focused on wins and losses and playing on the clan server. Not to see who can farm the most wins to get to the top.

As an update. We have gone through the list of the clan who is currently at the top.

Has been found to farm match wins on the Clan Server at the highest rate on the match point ladder.

We will be applying a correction to their Clan Match Point log which takes into account the restrictions which we have applied today over the last 30 days for this clan.

While we appreciate the clans dedication to trying to get to the top, creating alternate clans or asking other clans to simply lose up to 60-70-80 matches per day for the sole purpose of GETTING to the top goes against what the original clan ladder was created for. The amount of farming that took place was well above any other clan and this is why we feel it necessary to modify the points for this clan.

You better take a look at this

Please note that removing excessive clan match points from a particular clan is not an indication that we are changing our stance on farming.

People who decide to go in to games and die over and over again so their friends can gain however much experience they want for their character or rank or clan is not against the rules.

There are limitations in place for Clan 'play' Points which are capped, and a decay % to prevent players from gaining and going afk while remaining at the top. In this same way there are limitations in the game, afk timers, maximum exp caps.


The reason we modified one clans point total was due to the extreme nature of their exploiting. We have mentioned in the past that the Clan 'Match Point' ladder was meant to be based more about wins and losses than about sheer farming of experience. It was never intended to be abused to the levels that this particular clan was abusing them to.


The 10 limit is adjustable and we will have no problems adjusting if we deem that 10 games versus the same clan is not enough of a limitation to stop farming. HOWEVER 10 games is a viable attainable goal for the general public. 80-100 games per day is NOT, and thus the changes were made.

But this whole process is not being done so that X player can report Y clan/player because they want to cry about them being a higher level. People will always find a way to be better and faster and higher level than you are. Unfortunately this is a fact of video games.
