So on my hack (HotKey) I want to make a message on the top of the screen while in game.

Progress with my game - "Disbanded"
- Fixed FPS lag on spawning entities due to the ent_preload buffer!
- Edit the AI code to get some better pathfinding
- Fixed the view bug within the sniper scope view. The mirror entity is invisible now!
- Added a new silencer for ALL weapons. Also fixed the rotation bugs
- Added a ton of new weapons and the choice to choose a silencer for every weapon
- Created a simple AntiCheat, noobs will cry like hell xD
- The name will be Disbanded, the alpha starts on the 18th august 2014

here is an idea for you to try, have a timer set up for your popup message and when you want to call your popup thats when you start a new thread and set the timer, now for each loop(does even need to be a timer, you can use sleep) in the timer you reduce the ARGB value but just the A value(transparency) so you will get a fade in and fade out effect depending on which way you use it.... I have done this in Delphi without any problem and it creates a very nice effect, Just haven't released it here yet. But I imagine we will be seeing lots of example after giving people this idea..
