and if you really want minion of a section you should pick an active section unless you are capable of making a dead section active .
and don't just quit when they don't choose you, keep helping instead of hopping to another section and start all over agian .
i was on mpgh for 6-7 months before i got a position as minion .


So i suggest you to stop going to general , and choose 1 section (choose the section of a game you like) and then be active in that section .
