Good, I don't really see why United States is basically against gays when the country was founded by men who fled other countries do you segregation of religion and all that,
I also don't see why an athiest or any other religion hasn't been president yet due to the fact that people are rewriting history saying that it was founded on Christianity when it really wasn't.

I think that gay couples should have all the legal benefits of marriage, but it should be the religious institution's choice whether to marry a gay couple in holy matrimony. Although the Bible clearly condemns gays and the Qur'an most likely does as well, so it's going to be difficult.
