people are stupidly reactive to situations like this
they were the same way when that senator got shot (little fizzy on the overall details a Google search will clear it up)
either way putting gun restrictions wont help much. Crazy motherfuckers are gonna get guns with or without the restrictions there are always ways to get guns without going through gun stores there just the easiest. @Pikaboom
thanks for the actual statistics this one might also help
List of countries by number of military and paramilitary personnel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
in total number (trying to be as positive as i can) Canada holds around 128k troops in total while America holds around 2.9 million total
but of course these statistics are unnecessary because this is a war that will never happen. Quit playing imaginary war time. (not in reference to pikaboom to the idiots who try and to put country against country)

If everyone owned a gun, shit like Virginia tech, the aurora shooting etc would have had much less casualties.

If everyone owned a gun, and carried it around wherever they went, and had a briefing before the incident and then trained professionally to use their fire-arm and studied human rights then they might save a couple of lifes - otherwise it's a complete disaster and they'll probably end up getting a few people killed. That isn't possible though, which is why we have a very organized group of trained professionals called the police.

    Illegalizing guns is about:
    A) Decreasing circulation.
    B) Allowing officers to more easily prosecute and citizens to more easily to identify a dangerous individual.

However, illegalizing guns in the US now won't work. You already have tons in circulation. Neither would trying to implement universal health care\ObamaCare. The healthcare system is already crippled, and privatised.

You guys think that when guns are illegal you can grow them in your back yard and get a host of 'gun runners' to merchandise them around the neighberhood. We aren't talking about illegalizing weed here, these are weapons. Like I said though, there are way too many weapons in circulation right now in the USA. If the USA wanted to illegalize guns, its way too late of an option to be effective.

There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.

If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

It is possible but it would take YEARS of hard crackdowns, Millions in tax money, strict supervision of gun production, and a lot of upset civilians.
And even then there would still be some weapons in circulation.
    In other words, impractical.

Legalizing guns will 1. Decrease ILLEGAL circulation
    2. Give citizens the ability to defend themselves
There are no down sides to legalizing guns. Criminals that want guns will be able to get them regardless of laws. If people have the means to self defense, there will be less crime in general. If a group of people had guns in that theater, whether they were trained or not, pointed their guns at the muzzle flash and fired there would probably be far fewer casualties.

It's undoable. There will always be radicals or organized crime.
Not only that, with current day technology, a person is able to print out a gun, bullets and just about anything they want with a 3-d printer

Or there would be more dead. If everyone is firing their guns at the muzzle flash whose to say they're not shooting each others muzzle flashes.

Please, point me to the nearest printer that can whip me up some metal components and gunpowder.
