I don't think it's that simple. We can relatively do something like that for something such as a mouse, but there's a bit more than just neurons and synapses that make the brain tick.

Im pretty sure its synapses and neurons.
There has to be some sort of "firmware" that comes pre installed on all brains so that neurons know how to develop and interact with each other.
If we can map this "Firmware" it wouldn't take much to plug that into a simulation.
But brain scanning on the neural level is years away -_-

I'm not so sure about the "years away" part, and I'm definitely not sure we'll be able to match the complexity of our brain within 10 years. I haven't checked predictions lately but I remember hearing the number 40-50 years time. Now of course you don't need to match the _human_ brain to achieve the complexity for an AI, after all pretty much every would agree that "lesser" animals have intelligence, right?

Regardless, 10 years isn't enough last time I checked and even once we hit the processing power barrier we still have the problem of defining intelligence and artificial intelligence, the problem of creating one and the problem of possibly maintaining one if ever created.

Not possible in 10 years, 50-100 years though is realistic. Assuming we don't destroy the earth by then.
Maybe something like jarvis from iron man in the next 10 years maybe possible though o.O

I agree. He could have been more specific, but this is general. What do you expect? .

In my opinion, I don't believe that A.I can exist... as in, having robots act and think like humans with their own self control etc

Well it's definitely not that simple, a "firmware" isn't the only thing holding us back, the brain is a complex object, certain regions harbor certain things, and function differently from mammal to mammal. If it was just all synapses and neurons, we wouldn't be the apex intellectual of the mammals, there are mammals with brains far larger than ours. You can't just inject a stem cell of brain matter into the brain and regrow it with full function back, since you already have the "firmware" (AHAHHHAHAHA FRINGE AHAHAHAHHAA, yah fku ratlen), or just steal someone's else's brain and become twice as smart. Shit just don't work like that, there's consciousness, dreaming, and hundreds of other things that are unexplained about the brain.

Well, they have self control, moving an arm is self control. If you're talking about self awareness, that's totally different and not a requirement to be called A.I. That's called a true A.I., but as unlikely as it seems, who really knows, not everything is as complex as it seems.
