    I'm pretty sure you do in Canada as well in Australia, but it's incorporated into taxes I think.

    Where I live, trash pick up is done by a guy hired from our city's council.
    So everyone living in Fairfield City gets free trash pick up every Thursday and recycling every 2nd Thursday.
