i apparently got caught stealing warez...and i got this message

Well, unfortunately for them, I'm pretty sure they can't send personal information over the internet without your permission (not sure about Canada), it's probably to scare you shitless.

Other than that, I know 2 ways to get yourself out of this trouble. You see, IP address and ISP information tells only who PURCHASED the connection. So just turn on your wi-fi, and sit back and relax (if you don't have it, your fucked, or better run down to Best Buy or whatever). You can always say that someone was illegally connected to your network, and they will be forced to drop the case, unless they got some other personal hardware information. Of course, this is American Law, not Canadian.

Hop the border if all else fails.
