Where do I place the .jar file? I do not understand how to work this around. Do I replace it with the minecraft.jar, or do I replace it with the server file?
YES! I have been looking for this for weeks!

You have to give the .jar file to every client of your server. If they have Java (JRE) installed, they can open the .jar with no problems. You do have to make sure that you set online-mode to false in your server.properties file. If it isn't 100% clear, ask me again!

Probably, your Jre is fine. Please try this:
1. Rightclick on the .jar and select 'Open with:', and then 'Choose standard program'
2. Hit 'browse' and go to your Program Files.
3. Go here: /Java/JRE...../bin and select javaw.exe (NOT java.exe)
It should work just fine now. If it doesn't, please reply so we can fix this (annoying) issue.

Looks solid, but I have two questions:
1. Does your technic pack launcher update itself? (When you open Technic or Tekkit, is it MC v1.2.5? )
2. Do skins work? If so, how?
1. Yes, it will update itself. It is exactly thesame as the original launcher (except for the password bit ofcourse :P).
2. They do work, but just like other cracked (Minecraft) launchers. If you type in a name from an account that has a skin (e.g. premium account), you will get that skin. You can't use your custom skin, because you haven't got a premium Minecraft account.
I hope this information is helpfull.
