Get a dedicated gfx card, at least something mid-range.
Just get a new gfx. Should solve your problem.

256mb video card? :S
If I'm reading this correctly, that's probably your problem. Although, it may be hard to upgrade if your computer is so old it's using AGP instead of PCI-Express. (If that is the case, you'll need a new motherboard before anything else.)

I have a 1.6 GB on-board video card, not as good as an nVidia or ATI, but it runs everything I like around 60 fps at medium settings, not all on-boards are bad.
They're answering your question, you're just not understanding.
I can testify to this a little bit. I've seen good performance from APUs. Also, the laptop I'm using when I travel here in a few weeks has Intel HD 3000, which I doubted at first, but it's not too bad. If I had an i5 at least instead of a 1.3GHz i3 (it's an 11.6" notebook), it could be even better.

Ok thanks guys.
you should be able to play fine with minimum settings.
Your ram is good, but others are bad (for example cpu)
