Depends what you're looking at. There Is a subreddit that can cater for everyones needs... My personal favs are /r/funny, f7u12 and the casual WTF.

There is a good reason to hate 9gag, considering they force memes, have Cheezburger-tier humor and provide 'lulz' to the Chuck Norris fanboys of yesteryear.

I don't hate the site, I hate its people. A few (maybe future ex-)friends are into that 9GAG shit and they say stuff on school like 'TROLOLOLOL' or 'Watch out, we got a badass over here' and they now have a new 9GAG sentence 'Well, that escalated quickly'.
