Today bout will between Minato vs Pain

- We discuss the pros and cons of each character.
Chakra / Techniques / Intelligence
- We will include past victories into account.
- We will include who they lost to.
- We will include ability to work alone.
- We will include the ability to work in a team.
- We will not include personality

With all the information we are to run a simulation of the fight (within our minds and thread)

The Vote will be done one a different thread with the other bouts going on in the first round.

Nagato definitely.
Nagato has more kills.
Nagato killed Hanzo whereas 4th Hokage would lose.
Nagato only lost to Naruto via talk-no-jutsu.
Nagato himself as a kid killed 2 ninjas in a instant.
He has the six paths of pain
He defeated Jiraiya, Kakashi and alot of others during the pain vs Naruto fight
His teamwork is also great, him and Konan have good minds and know how to plan stuff out.
Nagato has more of a chance than winning EVEN though 4th hokage is the yellow flash. A simple shinra tensei will knock the 4th Hokage away instantly.

Nagato wins.

OT:

Nagato:
- Rinnegan
- Great teamwork (with Konan)
- Tactician (He can command 6 different bodies to perform different objectives simultaneously)
- Because of his 6 paths he specialized in various ways (Summonings, Pull & Push objects, Absorb unlimited amount of Chakra, regenerate limbs, bring dead back to life. Each pain can use these techniques respectively.)

Minato:
- Teamwork hasn't really been shown considering he was always doing stuff alone (When 9 tails attacked Konoha, he transported the kyuubi away to it'd be only him. Also it was him VS his team for bell exercise)
- Flying Thunder God Technique
- Quick thinker, alot people/ninja's don't have this skill because they hesitate but Minato was quick.

(I'm sure I forgot stuff for both characters but off the top of my head this is what I could come up with)


Minato would attack 1 pain normally, he'd miss because of the shared vision. He'd eventually figure it out and try attacking with FTG technique, at which point Tendo Pain would come in and "push" him away. /Repeat

(IF Minato were able to defeat 1 pain they'd be brought back to life by Naraka Path Pain. Unless Naraka Path pain died... which which I still believe Nagato/Pain will win)

Anyways, this is a really tough battle, and I'm not going to go into all the reasons WHY I think Minato would win. But if he could beat Tobi with such ease, I think he could beat pain. Tobi also had the ability to teleport which Nagato does not.

Minato is a superb strategist, has the ability to teleport, and superb sealing techniques. Dealing with the paths will not be a problem for Minato if Naruto could do it with Sage Mode. (I love Naruto, not trying to bag on him, but Minato is stronger than Naruto was at that point.)

IMO

I think Minato would be able to overcome his low chakra reserve by strategizing around it. He defeated Tobi in one low blow with clever use of his hidden Uzumaki sealing techniques that Kushina taught him, and simply outsmarting him. Nagato won't go down as fast as Tobi did IMO, but I think Minato could win.

Wouldn't the one that can regenerate take the hit at that point?

I'm thinking the exact same thing. If he could just manage to get past the push pull thing he would win.

And Minato is super smart. Maybe he would know to instantly target the pull/push pain.

IDK it's a really really tuff call.
I'll make a vote thread tomorrow some time.

Also, I really do think Minato would win this fight. I'm sure minato can figure out that Negato almighty push minimal interval is 5 secs so once he figures that out he can FTG in 1 sec Rasengan in 1 sec FTG again in 1 sec and cut his throat in 1 sec. He cud probs FTG in half a second considering its a "teleport" jutsu
