No sound minecraft

I've downloaded the Minecraft!_mpgh.net, and runned the minecraft laucher, I started a game in survival, but I noticed I didn't have any sound ? Can anybody help me out, can't hear monster coming ...

It might be your speakers or headset. Make sure they are both plugged in correctly.

Wait, what did you download?

Did you download the cracked Minecraft launcher that aeronyx posted? If you did, you need to make sure you extracted the file to your desktop.

Anyways, make sure your sound is turned up on your computer first of all. If you're using headphones/headset make sure the volume is turned up on there as well. Same with speakers, make sure your volume is up and the speakers are plugged in properly. Are you able to hear sound such as; music from Youtube? If so, then it has to be a problem with Minecraft itself.

I dowloaded aeronyx's minecraft laucher. I don't use headphone, just using the pc's speaker, all the volume are turned to the maximum. And I can hear noise from youtube videos.

What do you mean by hacked client ? I just downloaded from here xD. My version is 13.2 if that can help u_u

Hmm.. So, it has to do with Minecraft, as you can hear music / noise from Youtube videos, but specifically NOT Minecraft.. Did you check your Minecraft options? Make sure the Music and Sound volume is up.

I don't know, what sound file?
Cause, if you can hear out of Youtube, and everything else, it's odd cause you should be able to hear out of Minecraft. Did you update all your drivers?

Hmm.. Then you need to try force updating. It should download all the files and then you should be able to hear the music and sounds.

Usually when I have no sound I just restart the client and it's fine. Force update or delete your .minecraft folder.

Yeah. I've never had the problem, so I don't know. He said he doesn't have any files in his sound folder, so I bet when he force updates, it'll be fixed.
