Looks like a friendly engine, not to hard to use.

Your making this seem so difficult and really its just the task of making a game is simply learning how to function with a proper engine. All I really need is another 3D modeler and the game will be done in around 3 months.

Don't use this engine, sorry it's in beta so it's not good. Look at the guy that posted in the thread I thought you needed a engine, a team, etc

Since we merged teams if i may add all of our idea's will be put together into one FPS, and stay on topic people lol. Don't hate on Unity 3D give it some time, and it will better than Cry Engine. Also Cry has alot of premade stuff which takes the fun out of it which you can't really say you made it all. If you know what your doing in Unity you can end up with a great project. That looks very nice. I have no knowledge whatsoever regarding anything relevant to the topic, but hell, if you need ideas, or a web developer I could help. This seems very nice. I think I may learn more about game development. Also, if you want good software - torrent it. (Such as CryEngine).

No. No it does not. That is literally 10x the average game budget. You'll find there is a relatively small up-front licence cost, then further royalty payments.

Game dev is very difficult, but good luck to yah.

After getting bored with the restrictions of CA and CF I started developing a FPS game in the Unity3D game engine. While doing it I realized that doing this all by myself was stupid , I need a team. So I'm turning to the smart people of MPGH and asking a 'general' question to as if theres anyone on here knows UnityScript, which all you have to have is a little knowledge of javascript, and wants to help me out with the project. You don't have to know just UnityScript though , anyone with 3D modeling skills (such as Blender or Maya or 3DS Max, only for custom weps though. I feel as if its easier to reuse other models.), GTKRadiant skills (map making, which is the easiest out of all of these. Ex : /watch?v=Xx07GYyGAHc on youtube ) or who can contribute some good game ideas.

The game play will be similar to the good people over at the indie game studio DrunkenLizardGames, who also used Unity3D -



But will include other things than FPS don't have , such as the ability to use vehicles and helicopters (which really isn't that hard to incoperate , basically just do what is done when making a racing game) & so on. Anyhow , this maybe the wrong section but I didn't wanna but it in programming because that section is dead. W/E though.

2. See that right there? You said $1,200,000. That is one million, two hundred thousand dollars.

3. No one said to use the CE3 engine. You could use the CE or CE2 engine and still make a very good looking game.

4. You can't even comprehend basic numeracy.

There you go, you've failed on all fronts. You have no hope in making ANY game.
