    1200$ budget (yes another rig)

I'm going to be giving my friend my rig as his exploded (I'm not even joking,i have no clue how he did it), but I want a new rig.

My budget at the moment is 1200.

What I do NOT need is:
    RAM
a Hard drive (I do want an SSD just to boot Windows)
    Monitors, Keyboard, or mice
    a case

I am a Radeon fanboy. Nothing Nvidia for the gfx card. Don skimp out on me neither, I can always upgrade later so if that's where we are saving money I need something that is cheap yet powerful.

I have always hated intel, but if the i7 is the best I'm down. I want the best processor on the market possible at my budget.

I can always upgrade later on. 1200 is what I have now.

As for the MB, gigabyte or , MSI, or Asus preferably.
@Alen, I trust your input on this the most. Tell me what you think and close the thread immediately.

You should definetely wait for Alen's response, but this is what I suggest:

    Processor Intel Core i5 3570K € 226,75
    RAM G.Skill Ares 8GB DDR3-1866 CL9 kit € 53,34
    CPU cooler Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B € 52,83
    Mobo ASRock Z77 Extreme4 € 135,84
    GPU MSI N660Ti Power Edition 2GD5/OC € 303,88
    SSD Samsung 830 Series 64GB € 67,70
    PSU Be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W € 87,21
    € 927,75 / $ 1195

¹ Assuming you really don't need the HDD in this overview, I have included 64GB SSD for both Windows and a few games if necessary
² Recommend spending some more money on a SSD, instead of getting a top-of-the-line i7 with a HDD

What I can do is grab the SSD with my next paycheck (every friday I pop another 100$ in my budget), and grab that i7

That's a nice build, but I still need to find myself a new GFX card I hate NVidia with a passion (Had the 680 TI, OC'd it just a slight amount, well within what I should of been able to take, entire card burnt out in less than two minutes. Happens with every NVidia card I get, AMD Radeon has always lasted better for me)

    I'd suggest larger SSD space.

Is it really necessary though? I'm only using the SSD for the OS itself, not for storage

Might as well have stuff on there.
128GB Samsung 830 is like 100 bucks in the US.
    Why not?

Good point, though if I do that then I'll probably get a primary SSD for the OS and save for a Hybrid for my storage Still waiting on Alen now

I don't know if it is the same where you live, but in Denmark i7's costs more than twice of what the best AMD costs.

I assume it is the same everywhere, so you get much for the cash with AMDs.

Intel is undoubtedly better though, especially for gaming.

The lines in my Steam are i's

I presume gaming is your main priority with this build?

Assuming your case can accommodate a H100.

You could also go with a X79 build with the i7 3820 CPU to keep the upgrade path open for Ivy Bridge-E processors.

That, sir, is a perfect build. Thank you very much, exactly what I was looking for And I'm not using a case this time, I have wall mounts that I'm going to set up instead for testing purposes Thanks again bud!
