Edit: I just had a thought, if this theory is true and if we really are simulations and everything we do is fake and those "creators" can control everything. What if they are just letting us go on studying us? I mean we do treat apes and other animals like shit and study and torture them just for information. I can kinda get why people think it could happen but I don't think they've truely thought through what the "creators" would actually be allowed to do. Because Assuming they have the same idea of morals as us it would be completely unethical to even attempt make a simulation.
