That article is trash, first of you all this will not be as wide spread as the article claims as it is only possible for 3.55 CFW users to upgrade to newer CFWs because Sony patched updating to the same firmware version after 3.56 and onwards.

Sony can also change up the ECDSA Algorithm like they did with the 3.56 firmware update, so it's not going to be hacked permanently, but it will take some time for them to rectify the issue.

I think some people on this Thread are getting confused with the PS Network and the PS3 itself...

The lv0 key grants hackers an easy way into the PS3 in order to run custom software/downloaded games, now I see no reason as to why this means "LAWL XBOX FTW!!ONE!ELEVEN!!" because it's only a GOOD thing for people because this means we could be seeing SNES and many other Emus running on the PS3 widespread once more.

The PS Servers are a different kettle of fish and the lv0 keys have nothing to do with their servers so don't go assuming Xbox is better just because the PS3 got hacked again.

No, If someone with the knowledge to create CFWs wanted to steal users information than they could using CFW but as for now no this does not mean credit card information as jailbroken PS3s usually do not have online access as Sony updates the passphrase when a new exploit is found.

This is a cat and mouse game between developers and sony and would be the only time information mentioned above would be stolen.

As jailbroken PS3 do not usually have internet access, it is more beneficial for hacking groups to directly target Sony's servers, which has been demonstrated last year.
