^Agree with all of this.. but I feel like Disney isn't just forking over four billion just to be able to say they own it. Oh, they've got plans..
*Also, I dunno if any of you guys can agree with me, but it's times like these, when big companies buy out each other, that make feel pretty spooked out and like a small little fish in the big sea. Maybe it's the idea that their activity seems very ominous and possibly monopolistic.

Disney is just going to bank on the success of the previous titles. I can't see how they're going to rejuvenate the old story seeing as how after Ep. VI the Sith are defeated, Sidious is dead, and the universe has peace. So they're definitely going to try and make some weird spin-off or just tell the tale of previous or future Jedi knights and their never-ending struggle with the dark side of the Force.

Don't expect anything more than visual effects. I mean, that's where movies seem to be headed lately. Forget the great story, as long as there's huge explosions and big tits nearly every American will cash in.

Honestly, I'd like to see them move towards the Sith Lords in the Old Republic era. Maybe even the Mandalorians.

*Also, I'm not sure if your idea about doing movies of the Old Republic Era (Sith Lords, Mandalorians, etc.) of the Star Wars lore is coming from the rather new MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, or maybe one of my FAVORITE old-school xbox RPGs, KOTOR 1 & 2 (Knights of the Old Republic). All of these games were from Bioware when Lucas Arts wasn't owned by Disney.

Well as far as we know ,Disney do tend to get involved in almost all big produces. Star Wars on its own is still one of the 2 biggest series ever to be named THE GREATEST so it won`t take much to get a big crowd. The story could be anything, heck even they could go as far as making a film about The Force unleashed for all we know. Just hope that there isn`t Donald duck with no pants and a light saber while speaking nonsense . Lucas what have you done .

This is going to be terrible, the whole feel of the movie is going to be different with different actors. Plus, they're probably going to fuck up most of the expanded universe stories since they're pretty dam expansive and there's no real way they can put them into movies without fucking SOMETHING up.

Star Wars, as a live action movie, shouldn't really be touched anymore.
