What happened to tuning cars ?
^
NFS was awesome because you could tune your car . Now it's just another race game .
No. NFS was awesome because it offered something others didn't. A chance to drive the worlds fastest cars at blistering speeds without any of the sideshow. Tuning cars is only a recent addition and something that was only done well in 3 games. But now it's time for them to do more street tuning. They've had their break. My point is that it's always just been some other racer game, but it's also always been the best racing games (up until Carbon, but also from Hot Pursuit 2010 onwards).

Shit Just Got Real... Gonna get this for both PC & PS3...
Oh shiet, looks amazing. I want to get it for xbox.
I have to agree, it's prob the best NFS in a long while. Haven't played it online, but the single player campaign was good. The only thing that it was lacking is car customization. It is about a 6 hour game, if you go straight to the ladder beating people and earning points, I beat it already and had a pretty good time doing so. Another downside is it was lacking races, it had like probably 15 races in total, and tons of repeats --- at least for the # of cars I played.

There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.
If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
Agreed, but I think the cop chases are fun and give it quite a bit of replayability value. Definitely give it a go online. It's really good if you get a full lobby going, you compete in 5 different events, ranging from team racing, to drifting challenges, to hard parking challenges where you have to do a jump and land on a certain spot and remain stationary for as long as possible (fucking awesome fun when you have 7 other people trying to do the jump at once with only enough room in the landing zone for 3 or 4 cars then you try and ram each other off to gain the lead). The person with the most points at the end wins, then you go into a 3 minute intermission where it's just free roam (because of the way they do it, you end up in a posse of 3-4 cars blazing down the highway taking each other out) then at the 3 minute mark a meet up location is announced and you all change course and speed to that location, first one there gets glorious bonus points.
It really feels like they thought of everything with this game and tried their best to perfect each aspect. I can only hope that they set their sights on Underground 3 and do that with the same amount of dedication.
