A means to an end

So, today is the day I guess. My one year anniversary as staff here, and the day of my resignation from both the minion force and the resource team. My internet is currently out at home (as it has been for a while) and I'll be posting it some time in the morning from the parking lot of the local library using their wifi. Man, what a shitty opening to one of the most important threads I'm ever going to write here. As for why I'm resigning, it's... complicated. I used to be really dedicated to my work here, I was on every day for hours and viewed almost every post that came through in my nearly-a-dozen sections. Although, for some reason, I found myself unable to sustain that activity. I tried a number of things to attempt to correct it, ranging from dropping some of those sections to even taking certain medications in hopes that they would give me the motivation to actually do my job as a minion. Some of these things did help for a while, but it always came back to this. My lack of motivation and willpower is not the only reason for my resignation, it's also because I seriously need to put an end to the obligations I feel towards my computer/the internet. I spend the entirety of my days here on the internet, and I am getting fat. As I've said, I'm also resigning from the resource team. Why? Well, three reasons; I don't need it, I don't deserve it, and I am trying to put an end to all of my internet obligations. Not that anyone here in General cares, but I'll still be dropping some leeches into the MapleStory and Flash Game sections from time to time. It's weird, though. I've contributed a lot here to MPGH, including but not limited to hundreds of hours of my life, but for some reason I don't feel like that's enough. Instead of just feeling proud of my work here and being content with everything I did, I just feel guilty that it's came to this and that I couldn't have done more. It's a sad feeling, and all I can do is just hope you guys don't feel the same way. I was going to end this with something like a cowboy bebop reference, like; "See you, MPGH. Bang!", but that no longer seems fitting.
