Is there anyway to get rid of explosions/smoke

I play on pretty much the lowest settings, and when ever an explosion happens, or a smoke grenade goes off, i go from about 50 Fps down to 10.

Is there anyway to like, modify this? Maybe make the smoke/explosion texture dumbed down alot? I don't have money to buy a new computer, or upgrade it.

Oh and also.. Is there anyway to get rid of muzzle flash? or what ever, cause unsilenced guns lag me to shit.
