There is already a thread open for this kind of thing, no reason to post another thread about it. As for you getting banned, everyone knows that there is a risk of getting banned if you hack or mod. As for determining if it's the specific hack you used, contact the creator of the hack and he/she maybe able to check and see what the problem may be.
Also on another note, always check the hack against the version you are running, if the hack is older than the version you have, then don't use it.
