PC may have a virus [HELP!]

Hey guys, it's Ethan. Recently my computer just became VERY slow. One thing I do have to say is that I do download a lot of torrents, having said that, I think that's probably where the problem is coming from.

My security Specs:
-McAfee Security Center ( COMPLETE SHIT)
- Windows Firewall

The main problem is just straight up lag. For Example; when I go to the start menu to search something, It takes a while for results to appear. Or when I proceed to click something, for instance; opening a folder, It takes a few seconds. The Internet is slow as well.

What I'm asking is some procedures to repair what ever is wrong with it.

Ex:
-What Antivirus should I get?
-Any specific thing I should do for firewall?
-Is CCleaner a good program?


Stuff like that?


I really would appreciate any help!

People say Avast I personally don't like Avast and prefer Norton better..
And instead of CCleaner i prefer "Your Uninstaller" software which deleted more useless stuff for than than CCleaner.

if this dont help Format your pc or throw it out of window

If the virus is bad enough, chances are it wont let him install any AV software.

Try running rkill from bleeping computer, and then show us the log.
