Obviously, the problem here isn't gun control, it is the fact that the children themselves didn't have guns to protect themselves from the shooter.

One without a gun, cannot pull off a massacre of such a grand scale. So don't give that "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" horse shit. Weapons enable situations that are dangerous to become a massacre like this. I don't think gun regulation be more strongly enforced simply because I think the USA already has too many weapons in circulation to be effective.

I don't think I will ever be able to fully appreciate the impact this massacre has had on those children, the parents, and the community.

I can make a homemade explosive for less than 20$ that could have taken the entire school out. Best part is, the instructions are online. Banning guns won't do shit.

If anything we're going to see nutballs going for bigger game if we ban guns. With guns people shoot up other people, but they're content after or if they aren't they're pretty noticeable enough to catch. Many times they just kill themselves. But if we ban guns, then we have the nutballs who now have to spend more time preparing and creating weaponry, which will probably be explosives. If this is the case, we can expect larger massacres.

It's not the countries laws. It's how we portray incidents in this country. The majority of the Media rarely shows good shit, they only show the bad to get ratings. This has a negative impact on the people as a whole. If everyday we see "another man was pushed in front of a train" or "hurricane sandy is making thousands of lives miserable" or "madmen wanted to kill celebrity" then of course people are going to be fucked up because it makes them believe this behavior is normal.

No. Do I believe that over-powered weaponry should be available to the general public? Absolutely not. Do I believe the general public has the right to own their own firearms? Absolutely. People have been able to wield their own weaponry since the dawn of man, just because this is a "different age" with "different weaponry" does not change this fact. Semi-automatic, they definitely do not need a fully automatic AR. If for any reason they needed to upgrade it to full Auto in an emergency situation (outside invasion) they can be supplied with simple response triggers to upgrade it to full auto. No one has a need for a bushmaster.

ofcourse semi auto no ones needs full auto but my father has a Hungarian ak-47 which he used when he was in the Hungarian military right now its semi auto only but if he wanted to he could forge it to be full auto its actually a really simple process to do that.
