Chances are 60:40 that Xbox 720 is coming out this year, I'm saying Ps4 will come out early 2014 or really late 2013. They definately won't give the Xbox the release date advantage they had last year.

Steambox will defo be bought by me if the games are cheaper, I'll pay the extra 200~ over the Ps4 or the Xbox 720 if the games are cheaper.

I just seriously hope they don't try to money whore and release like 5 different versions of each console.

Maybe since they've just recently brought out Big Picture for Steam, they could be trialling what a good OS/menu setup etc would be for Steambox like how they would have the layout scheme if you get me?

Most likely a variation of Linux hence why they are trialing Steam and it's games running on Ubuntu and Arch Linux.
