Maybe you can, first try running regular Arma II OA through steam, and if you can get to the main menu then you should be fine.

You got to the main menu? Try joining a DayZ server you should be fine.

Your ping is probably too high. Try to find some servers that you can connect nicely to.

If you ran a hack on youtube even if you ran your game through steam and changed your key back that way the guy who uploaded the "hack" will still have your cd key so it will probably get banned or cd key in use.
