I don't know if it's sad, but times are changing. Some parents don't allow their kids outside without being around, and some parents don't allow their kids on the computer without being around, but I guess it's better that they apply themselves to something than sitting around bored doing nothing.

I was like 12-13 when I really even started using the computer. It bugs the shit out of me when I find out the person I'm talking to is under 13.

I know what you mean, I remember playing on my game boy advance when I was about 9, but I would still go outside and play etc. I wouldn't start using the computer until I was like 11 and I would only use paint.

Well i've been using computer since i was7-8 (windows 95) but not that much about 10-20 minutes per day maybe not the rest of the day i was out side playing with the other on the neighborhood and all had our parents call as in to sleep or to study i relay miss those days.... i also hate how thing have become with technology and so on...!

I see issues in kids who do not do anything productive online. I started building circuits and small ARM connections when I was 8, the only game I really played was Diablo II, then CS. I was always working on my music as well though, it's te parent who is at fault not the child. If the parents allow kids to be stupid on a computer then the child will be stupid on the computer. When I have a kid, I will raise him/her the same way I was raised around computers, I will encourage my child to be well-worked with circuits like I was and also introduce him/her to programming, whilst still encouraging music.
