Can I get banned if I just let Cheat Engine run in background, to find out adresses or something? (no manipulation or value changing)
I'm sorry if this question was asked before, but I've something to do now and just wanted to find it out. Will read it later.

I actually came on here to find out this exact question.
I want to find the address of Combat Knife kills to unlock diamond camo, But I don't know if merely searching for the address during an online game would cause a ban or not.
I used it.
searched for my current combat knife kills, played a game, ran a second search on updated kills and it returned one address.
I changed the value of the address but it didn't change the combat kills, so it probably wasn't the right address.
But i'm not banned.
i unlocked all titles... challenges like 1 month ago ,still not banned.
Running Cheat-Engine in background.
Heard of no bans. And no, they can't really.
I don't recall anything saying they can ban you from having programs running.
(I don't think they can quick-check the attached game in Cheat-Engine. Means, they can't confirm that you're attached to BO2)
Read the EULA for Steam and see if you allow it to check any background program and how much you allow
And as Jorndel kinda said, if they do so they have to be able to prove that the program had something to do with Steam/CoD.
