The AN-94 tacop IS the best gun in the game. It's a matter of skill in use. Right behind it are the STG-44, sg556 MK II LE, k2, ak-74m, ak-74 and ak-47.
Here is a statistical comparison of the AN-94 and AK-47:

The AN-94 tacop outclasses it on all stats, and matches the portability. IMO it also draws faster, has better spread recovery, is noticeably more accurate for long range just-the-head-showing shots, and tap fires with 0 recoil.
The recoil takes practice to get used to, but, eventually it plays like a mix between an upgraded ak-47 and an m416 CQB. It can be used at the longest range and in grave pro. It's the best gun.

I disagree completely, i had it perm and it was useless! Across map, didn't perform like the CQB. The scope is out... It feels underpowered. But yeah.. Personal opinion

You can hit the top of someone's head who is camping the back pill bags on snowvalley from the platform..In terms of practical use, that's more than I've been able to do with the sniper half the time. It's a VERY solid 3 hit kill at close to mid ranges, very often a two hit kill..That's almost a semi sniper. I don't think it could be more overpowered without becoming a DMR. If you are saying you cant spray at long ranges, then you are correct...but, really, no guns can do that effectively. The only gun that I've ever seen beat it consistently at long-ranges is the m4a1 sopmod in the hands of an expert...the sopmod has an insane spread recovery, so it tap-fire's at an almost automatic speed.

The AK series of guns are MADE for longer range. Just because YOU can't control the recoil doesn't make it bad. I can consistently get Unbes on Snow with the AN-94 Tac.
