Radiation sickness starts as vomiting and fevers
At higher doses Skin irritation, as well as the risk of cancerous tumors
Prolonged exposure, causes organ failure, immune system failure, and necrosis(your skin dies around you and turns black)

Very high doses for a short period (say, nuclear meltdown) causes a sort of walking dead syndrome
Patients seem to be fine for ~1-2 days while inside their organs are shutting down and their insides are virtually melting, following a painful death
