Why an087535's hack won't work for some people

an087535's hack won't work for some people because they have windows xp service pack 3.

If you do, but can change compatibility to windows xp sp 2, then lucky u..

Otherwise there is no hope on getting it to work.

For those of u who don't have windows xp sp 3 this is how to get it to work right:

1. turn off anti virus.
2. download hack.
3. extract it to your desktop.
4. rename the folder to w/e u want. rename the .dll to d3dx9_33.dll and rename the .exe to d3dx9_33 aswell.
5. Change compatibility to windows 95. If it doesnt work on that change it to windows xp sp 2.
6. Start up the hack and then start up combat arms
7. At the login screen press insert and choose all the hacks u want on.
Chams/color hack will d/c u. Everything else works.
8. Press insert again to close the menu and save it. Make sure u DO NOT press isnert again or IT WILL D/C U.
9. Log in and go join a game and own!

what do i change the compatabilaty of ? as if i change the hack.exe (now renamed) it come up with a error.

i also get cannot inject .dll can any one help?

I have tried everything anyone has said over the last few days to get it to work. Yes...all compatibility is fine, yes i have SP2 on xp. Yes i renamed them all right. I've triple checked everything.

Nothing works, I simply get "could not inject" every time....

No I didn't copy ur steps..

It's so obvious on how hacks work... That all came from my head..
Also has any1 here used these hacks from Service Pack 3 and work them??

Dude, your not going to get any help being a clueless choob. THERE IS NO SP5 FOR XP. The latest sp for xp is sp3. Get a fucking clue. Actually, don't. People with no idea shouldn't be trying to use hacks.

I follow all available steps but when i try to start CA it just says Combat Arms has stopped working. I have vista.

Yes i have service pack 5, and you can do everything the same...except when in combat arms you can turn on menu, turn on hacks...but cant make it into a game. (it dc's you w/o even a message)

Ok i got it to work. Everyone who was asking and said they had service pack 5 look here.
1. Follow all steps except dont click on service pack for compatability, use windows 95. (my service pack was named Windows NT 4.0(service pack 5), but use 95 instead).
2. Now follow all the steps including naming them to the specified names at the beggining of this topic.
3. This may not be a big change but it worked for me. (Remember to hit insert b4 u log in and exit out of menu BEFORE you log in)

When I click on the Hack.exe file to inject, it gives me an error with a lot of numbers. Any ideas?
