Going to the gym to have an appraisal done today and get a training program made up. Signed up with my local gym for 6 months so I can get fit and bulk up for basic training in the Navy.
Anyone done an appraisal before?
What was it like? What did the instructor/coach person make you do?
First time working out in a gym so I'm quite nervous
I'm not the fittest guy around. My upper body strength isn't that great but my lower half is decent because I do a lot of mountain biking and riding skateparks etc. The gym membership is actually my Christmas present from my parents so I can work towards BT for teh navy
I'll try my best. I learnt that if you tear your muscles during workout then they repair as stronger muscles which allows you to build strength and endurance, if I'm correct?

This is what I have to work to
Pro tips:
Eat a light but filling pre work out meal about an hour before workout, and then eat one after, preferably a protein bar like a peanut butter clif bar.
Drink lots of milk.
Make sure you stretch before
