How do you guys feel about your parents?

Honestly, I know I may sound like an ungrateful dick, but I hate my parents. Used to be utterly abusive (physically and verbally, smacked, punched, choked, harassed, etc), still blame me for all of their problems, they just recently put a location tracker on my phone when I have never done anything wrong, and never let me see my girlfriend because they "hate" her for no reason. They also said if I have a single missing assignment in any class, they'll take away my car. That's pretty fucking ridiculous.

Since I don't know the full story I really can't say if you're being a bitch or your parents are fucked up. So look at it from their perspectives, something tells me they have made some mistakes but are trying to give you a successful life.

If im not mistaken, if you are 16 you can declare yourself independent or some shit. But Im tired and about to pass out so I probably am mistaken. But saying you need permission to move out is stupid. If you are old enough to say you are independent, you are. Nothing they can say would stop it. Dont expect any support from them though.

16 in the us but you have to have a job and show that you can be an adult. When you turn 18 you can do what ever you want because by law at 18 you're an adult.

Claim you're going one place, leave your phone out of battery at home, go to wherever the hell you want. Honestly, even if they're insane psychotic mass murderers, they haven't killed you yet, and you're rid of them in only a couple of years. So when you have a stable income and a nice home, you can call them out on their bullshit and then make up. Win-win for all involved, it's just a fact some parents are worse than others.
