No you didn't hear that right. He's proposing that we raise the federal minimum wage, essentially he wants to tie the minimum wage to the cost of living instead of how we have it set up now.

So basically no, that's not what's happening, not yet at least. He proposed that congress should be cool and vote for raising the minimum wage for the U.S. That's not even close to being the same thing as actually raising the minimum wage tonight.
