What message do you get, when you try to use it.

No Message I Put Link in Then I Hit Save Changes then it reloads the page then
my avatar pic area just stays white

Hmm.. Host it from Tinypic, Imageshack, etc, and see if that helps.
Instead of taking it directly from that site.
