Question, kinda stupid, but making sure.

So im wondering, how do hacks literally get detected, does somebody get caught with it, what im trying to find out is, lets say this dude named bob hacks, he super jumps, no recoil, no spread, bone shot, and speedhacks every game he gets in to, and the other guy, joe, uses a hack that only has wallhack, for gps, if a hack only has gps, then Im assuming it would last a very long time, because if a hack only has chams, then its hard to get detected because k2 admins spectating cant find people with gps ( unless they make it dead obvious ) or, does it work by finding what algorithm you exploit and making it so that anyone who exploits that certain sequence gets banned. help me out here.
