Yes I would say too that buy the console that your friends have. But if you play torrented games PS3 is better because with XBOX360 you can get banned from playing online.

Got a ps3 hardly ever use it only for netflix
but i got dat black ops II did prestiege glitch and all weapons diamond
now its boring as fuck.

Play bf3 sometimes with my lil cousin
and dat lil big planet, one of the best games ever.

Get a good PC! Nearly every console out there besides PS3 and 360 you can play on a emulator on a computer. And whenever new games come out the graphics are several years ahead on the computer and people make hacks for it and you can torrent.
And I usually just play Star Wars Battlefront II and Call of Duty: World at War in zombies mode.
Oh, I also forgot to mention you can install a shit-ton of mods for PC games also.
