Firefall [F2P MMO FPS] in beta

I can't seem to find a Firefall thread, so maybe this can be the official Firefall discussion/question thread?

Firefall is, currently, a free to play MMO FPS game. It's in Beta and requires an invitation to play.

I play Biotech (T2) named Zeppina, I've only played it for a couple of days, but I really enjoy it!

I played it before, don't like it anymore because of that tier system.

How come? I see it as a way to customize your character and make it unique.
On the end of Tier 1 you can select one of two new tier types for your class.
Like, medic can be Dragonfly (I'm Dragonfly) and something else which I forgot.
Depending on which T2 you pick, you get different abilities/weapons you can unlock in T2.

I think the mechanism was better before the tiers came. I was a high level and needed to start all over again.

They are going to release it in about 2 years. They really want to have a good game before they release it to the public.
