alright so I've never seen this before( I found out about this site first than Z8games, kinda easy to believe uh ) and I was wondering if I could throw you a noob question:

How is this supposed to work? just check the images for info or can I put downloadable files into my game folder to change my ingame mini maps or something?

You can't change the ingame mini maps, the downloadable files are for the people who just want the pictures.

You can't change the ingame mini maps, the downloadable files are for the people who just want the pictures.

You can change the ingame mini maps.

Z8Games -> CrossFire -> rez -> UI -> MapIcon -> MiniMapXX.tga

Really appreciate for letting me know that. I was wondering that for a long time, since the mini map file is in .tga and these downloadable files are in an image format as well.
