What flameswor10 said. Microsoft would never ask you to wipe your HDD or install strange software, you were probably scammed. They clearly outline that on their website warning about scams here:
Avoid Phone Scams | Cybercriminal Tech Support Scam | Security Threats

Cybercriminals don't just send fraudulent email messages and set up fake websites. They might also call you on the telephone and claim to be from Microsoft. They might offer to help solve your computer problems or sell you a software license. Once they have access to your computer, they can do the following:

Trick you into installing malicious software that could capture sensitive data, such as online banking user names and passwords. They might also then charge you to remove this software.

Take control of your computer remotely and adjust settings to leave your computer vulnerable.

Request credit card information so they can bill you for phony services.

Direct you to fraudulent websites and ask you to enter credit card and other personal or financial information there.

Neither Microsoft nor our partners make unsolicited phone calls (also known as cold calls) to charge you for computer security or software fixes.

Am I the only one that thinks that this is absolutely ridiculous? It's just an email account with a gamertag and they want to completely wipe his computer to give it back to him. You were'nt talking to microsoft dude you got scammed.

Microsoft will NEVER, EVER "wipe your computer for you"...why would they it's not that hard.

And you don't PAY Microsoft to "unhack" your account.

    You got scammed.

Why are retards posting about ps3 ?

Because this is what retards do, it is just formal logic to them, they see xbox 360 and simultaneously they must start and rant about anything they can, small minded people who know jack shit about any of it.

And regards to op, it does sound like a scam bud, they wouldn't ask you for access to your computer at all because it is in regards to a console account, and they certainly would not ask you to download anything.

No thats not his thanks though.

Also just to be clear he didn't pay he said "Fuck you guys are you retarded why the fuck wouldn't I just go with another better company to make a new email." but yeah I told him what you guys were saying and after some research it turns out it was a company called techzilla I think he said, he ran three separate scans so hes hoping his mac is fine. We can thank Siri for the false number, seems kind of funny an Apple product sending us to a Microsoft scam site, anyways hes on track to getting his account back from the real guys and never gave the other company any information except his email he was trying to recover. Thanks again for pointing out how ridiculous it really was.
