If you're using Win8 (You don't need a powerful anti.virus)
-Avast / AVG is two of the most used free ones. (Among my friends who study and work with data but yeah...)

It has the worst detection rate and one of the highest false positive rate. It looks like it's protecting your system but it's letting fodder through. It's been that way for a long time now.

I've used it ever since i got windows 7, and no problems.. but w.e im not gonna go down this dumbass road where im now getting bitched at for the AV i use..

I personally use Avira and Malwarebytes, really great combination in my opinion.

It's true it has a shit detection rate. Not only that but for such a compact suite it hogs more resource than most full suites.
Some of the most respected PC tech sites on the net have been saying this shit for 2-3 years now,it's not like it's something new. Jesus.

No, either way you're too sensitive. Instead of getting butthurt or getting defensive maybe understand the other persons position before taking a stance. It's much easier that way and you may learn shit whilst you're at it.

OP asked for the best anti-virus. You suggested one that has proven time and time again to actually be worthless. It's not an attack, it's savvy users correcting your misguided faith in MSE.

AVG 2013 Business Edition Pro and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro

You realize that websites that you normally think wouldn't have some sketchy shit, have sketchy shit.

Malware blocks sketchy ports, etc, AVG blocks viruses browsing.
