I'm more than 90% sure that many governments have used false flag attacks,
and it's mainly to rally the masses behind supporting a war.
Things go much smoother when the majority is complacent.
Not everything is a conspiracy though, and not every traumatic event/attack that happens is an inside job.
Some of the theorists dig so deep into things, and cycle through so much misinformation that they become jaded really.
It begins to get way too hard to discern reality from fallacy.
I honestly think there are some things a bit off about 9/11, but I wouldn't really jump to the conclusion of inside job either.
I feel that there really wasn't a thorough enough investigation, and I just find it odd that when 9/11 committee investigators get questioned by truthers,
especially when involving some of the science of it, they really can't give a solid answer that makes any kind of sense.

Not everything is a conspiracy, but I think people that just nod their heads and accept the official story without doing any investigating themselves
really shouldn't bother talking and combating over a subject with someone either. There is obvious corruption in the government,
there is really no conspiracy about that, but it's up to you to research and decide what level you think it's at.
This means checking sources with a fine toothed comb, because there are plenty of people that spread misinformation around.

They "knew". All that Bush had was a note on his desk saying that they THINK a terrorist attack would happen. They can't know for sure, they thought it'd happen, and it did. There's no way they could have prevented it. Did they know the exact day? No. Time? No. How can you prevent something that they didn't know would even happen.

Precisely. Even if they knew exactly what would happen, they wouldn't be sure if it was indeed true. North Korea makes a hell of a lot of threats, yet never play any of them out. Same applies to 9/11. People seem to think we can just throw up a magical wall that protects everyone. We must know, as you said, day, time, location, none of which we knew.
