Call of Duty : Ghosts - Information Collection Thread.

This thread is ment to be a fun thread in wich everyone posts confirmed stuff about this new game, rumors, etc etc.

Confirmed
A new "Infinity Ward" Engine.
Created by Infinity Ward.
It will be a whole new story, it won't continue the Modern Warfare series.
It will be released on 11/05/13. (5th of November, 2013)

Preferred
No deathstreaks.
No underslug grenade launchers.

Rumors
The story will utilize future settings, as did Black Ops II.
Dynamic Loading Screens.
(Semi-)Destructive Environments.
Interactive maps.
Players will be able to Slide while Shooting.
Players will be able to peak and lean around corners (PC already has this).
Players will be able to Roll from side to side while prone. (Arma II and III already have this option, if you want an example)
Spec-Ops will be replaced with something entirely else.

Please post any information you have heard or read.
I will be trying to cover everything.

Release date is rumored to be the 5th of November.

May 1st : Pre-orders are now avaible.

The Reveal Trailer will be released on May 21st, during the next XBOX reveal.

May 2nd :
Sledgehammer confirmed the fact that they will not work on COD Ghosts.

May 3th :
Famous Youtuber Driftor released a new video, releasing more information from his original leak.
It brings up a whole bunch of new rumors. But very inetersting. The whole character scene, your movement, everything will be renewed.


May 7th :
Known youtuber TmarTn posted a new video. In this video, a person found some images on a site owned by "LoneWolf3D" who has been working with Infinity Ward before (MW3). On this site there were some images that could be related to COD : Ghosts.

AliA contacted the artist and he admitted that the gun had nothing to do with the new COD Ghosts.
But he also confirmed that he is indeed working with Infinity Ward on COD Ghosts. (so the guns will be this high detailed, but this one will not be present.)

May 10th :

New images appeared on the COD : Ghosts site, one of which was a set of coordinates, and another one wasn't making any sense.
Unfortunately, the images have dissapeared, and my late cover of it made me unable to post them.

May 21st :
The big Xbox reveal, the day we were waiting for. Three new video's were shown on the actual reveal itself.

So I'd prolly say this is the real release date.
Given every previous COD has always been released around the 2nd week of november.
This one is the first week, instead of december, so another point.

What was the exact thing they said about modern warfare? If they said that it will not continue the series then its still possible that ghost from mw2 will be involved somehow. Tons of rumors about it.

But in Driftor's video, he said that his source (which untill now has been nothing but correct) confirmed that the story wouldn't include the original ghost.

Indeed, but why would they make a game with the same name, same mask and a trailer that says "some people wear masks to protect others"? Its either fanservice or just a way to attract attention. People are saying that Ghost could have survived the fire and the gunshot since he was wearing shoulder guards, so this game could probably be all about what happened to him. Maybe hired in a higher tier agency of some sort? Probably the game will be unreleated to ghost, as his scource said, but there are just too many coincidences.

True. But before black ops's 2 release, someone, cant recall who, when asked about ghost, said "Ghost.. Isn't exactly dead. You'll see what I mean". So yeah.. Probably a whole different game, but I would love to see an easter egg or something about him. He was such a great character

Well, keep in mind that CoD is mainly played by "kids" under 18 years.
-Which makes marketing way easier, due to it being named CoD...

CoD was supposed to be aimed at 18+ audiences, but after the shit they kept producing each year, everyone with at least a tiny bit of brain realized that its not worth the 60€ they pay each year, and the only fans left are kids.So, you're saying, that the trailer with the masks was just a coincidence?

Marketing isn't something that is done by a "coincidence"

Yeah, I understand all that, but what I meant with "coincidence" was its relation to MW2's ghost. Is it a coincidence that at the same time we are waiting for an explanation on ghost's story, a trailer pops up with a guy wearing his mask? Unless, of course, you mean that this relation was made on purpose.

Pretty sure it's going to be just as bad as the last few Call of Duties. Little change has been made to the game. But hey, who cares about my opinion any ways?
