So, I mentioned this in a different forum but, because apparently threads can't be moved here, it was deleted. I was just trying to be helpful by pointing out something strange I noticed yesterday. I play on Steam, so the client updates automatically. Yesterday there was a client update. I found this out because when logging in, I noticed that my hacked client was replaced by a normal one. What's odd about this is that the previous client does still work. It works if you use it through flash projector, and it works if you rename it to the new client version number in the way you use it in steam. I just think it's strange that they did an update where normal methods of playing would be transparent, but people using older clients wouldn't know about. I'm wondering if they did it for an easy way to check who is still using the older client, thereby isolating people playing in a way they shouldn't be.
Thoughts?
