Yeah I was thinking about making a little shop in my back yard but it's going to take way more then 180k$ them damn cnc machine are a lot of money. I also think I will need a lot of paper work to even set something like that up. Will have to talk to my dads brother about it might have a kid on the way and I don't think working 12-15 hour nights is good for a family.

That's a lot of money.
All the entry level jobs in my field I am going to pursue (Software development and maintenence, Communications engineering/network construction) only make around 228,500 yen a month (around 2.4k dollars)
Though once you stick to the companies for like 3 years your pay will essentially triple. So a entry level will make like 26k a year and somebody working for 3 years is making 70k+.
Once you get a job you are set for a long time. Most people don't leave the companies for 15-20 years and up. Luckily Japan also only has around 4% unemployment rate
