No matter what, if you actually are a smoker, not just a social/party smoker (Have one every once and a while at a party), the smell doesn't go away that easily.
And, yellow teeth/fingers are also an issue.
No i have not asked everybody in the world, however i can assure you that if you're an addicted smoker no one's going to have very positive opinions upon first sight.

Gum calms your nerves just as much as smoking does.
It doesn't really calm you're nerves, it just takes your mind off things i guess you could say.
Considering the consequences i'd rather be a gum addict.

If you smoke it affects everybody close to you which i think is a kinda douche move. But if you for example use snuff or such it's still bad but it only affects yourself at least.

Not really, first off I don't smoke inside, second I do it down wind so no one gets blasted by second hand smoke. Everyone I know is an adult, they know how to handle situations instead of sit around and cry because people in the world smoke.

Good if you smoke the right way i'm totally fine with it but it's the assholes who smoke inside in public places or at parties and such that gives smokers a bad rep.
