The Purge.

I'm going to keep this very short. I just got back from watching "The Purge" with my friends. I was really looking forward to this movie for a good month or so. Not because of the scary movie aspect, but because of the overall concept of the movie.

What I will say is that, the movie was really, really rushed. The beginning starts off at a normal pace, once the family enters lock-down, everything feels like its sped up. The makers of the movie could have done SO much more to make this movie truly amazing, but they obviously didn't.

One thing I loved about the movie were the "villains", or the enemies, if you will. They had a unique character, something you wouldn't usually see. You would expect them to be so unique in a way, but they come off as regular citizens, but how they are presented, and the actions they make are very different. That is probably the only good thing about the movie.

Also, it was VERY predictable, there was a twist at the end I did not see coming, but it was really weird an did not make too much sense.

Anyway, I would not recommend watching "The Purge". The trailer does really make it seem more than it is. If only it was what I expected...

Sorry, I just can't enjoy the 6th installment of what the last 5 were about. Shit plot, drive around fast, explosions.
It amazes me what some people continue to recognize as legitimate entertainment.
